Facebook friends, family and colleagues…
As many of you know, I was born and raised in Oklahoma, a state with a ‘can-do’ attitude, even in the worst of times.
I am incredibly proud of my state, and the way people help one another in times of need. The citizens of my beautiful state have sprung into action, after yet another terrible Category 5 Tornado devastated the city of Moore yesterday, and other parts of southern Oklahoma City. Moore was wiped out in 1999 by a Category 5 Tornado and has since re-built with a can-do attitude.
Yesterday, The University of Oklahoma in Norman opened its doors to those who were left homeless… an example of the beautiful, supportive human spirit.
Three of my children live in Oklahoma, and they said it is over-whelming and sad to see the destruction. Oklahoma has known many tragedies, including the terrible bomb in downtown that set the entire nation on alert.
They need our help. Schools have been hit, homes wiped out, families left without food and clothing.
You CAN make a difference by donating to the Oklahoma Food Bank and the Red Cross diaster relief fund. The instructions are below. I just did, and it is super easy… Thank heavens for social media during these times.
After you follow the prompts on your phone, it will ask you for a reply. It is case sensitive, so use capital letters where shown. The $10 donation will appear on your cell phone bill.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and those strong Oklahoma hearts that believe in the power of the human spirit.
Please share this message through your social media contacts… let’s make a difference!
With deep love, Adelle

My thoughts today as I breathe in the fresh air of the Berkshires, listen to the gentle sounds of nature waking up, and reflect on words that I have transmitted and received.
Words have resonance and vibration that affect the transmitter, the receiver, and the space. Energetically, the vibration is released into the cosmos… shape shifting the energetic field of the world.
Just as our thoughts affect our actions, and shape the manifestation of our reality, spoken words have an effect that goes way beyond the moment.
I do not have a cellular understanding of the word ‘hate’ in my body. To my ears, the word sounds harsh, out of sync and dark. In my life, I have chosen not to use the word, as it does not resonate with my reality feeling. There are many things I ‘do not like,’ ‘can’t stand to do,’ ‘disgust me’… yet, do I feel the word ‘hate’ in my body, in my heart? No. That feeling is beyond my understanding… and I’m grateful.
By choosing to not express hatred, or use ‘hate’ in my language, I am making a conscious choice to shift the energy, to shape-shift my being, and ultimately to send a different energy into the cosmos.
I am choosing a different reality… infused with the emotion of love and the words that resonate with the energy of love.
Below, Madisyn speaks of another word to reflect on.
It is all love… the word of creation, acceptance, gratitude… Adelle
Failure
Choose Your Words
At some point, the word may not have been so loaded with the weight of negativity, and it simply referred to something that did not go according to plan. Unfortunately, in our culture it is often used very negatively, such as when a person is labeled a failure, even though it is impossible for something as vast and subtle as a human being to be reduced in such a way. It also acts as a deterrent, scaring us from taking risks for fear of failure. It has somehow come to represent the worst possible outcome. Failure is a word so burdened with fearful and unconscious energy that we can all benefit from consciously examining our use of it, because the language we use influences the way we think and feel.
Next time you feel like a failure or fear failure, know that you are under the influence of an outmoded way of perceiving the world. When the world failure comes up, it’s a call for us to apply a more enlightened consciousness to the matter at hand. When you are consciously aware of the word and its baggage you will not fall victim to its darkness. In your own use of language, you may choose to stop using the word failure altogether. This might encourage you to articulate more clearly the truth of the situation, opening your mind to subtleties and possibilities the word failure would never have allowed.
I’ve been commiserating a lot with others about change, and the feelings that surround change. It seems there are a lot of people in my life who are experiencing big life changes, a breaking from habits and the ‘known’, and facing the only constant of life… change.
Happy Earth Day friends!
